Gadsen
Gadsen is a guitar that was built for Matthew Hunley as part of his 2025 Laura Grace Caregiver Award given by The Senior Source. Matthew was honored at Jub Jam by KTCK 1310 The Ticket morning drive host George Dunham, and my contribution was committing to build a guitar for the recipient. As Matthew and I discussed the direction, it was quickly obvious that we were in lock-step on what the guitar should look and sound like. Gadsen takes a fresh look at a traditional design with P90 pickups, but the body is pure vintage by using salvaged wood from the Quadricentennial Oak that fell in Plano, TX in 2023.
